Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions

1. Agreement to these terms

These Website Terms of Use apply to casual-jobs.com and https://casual-jobs.com/au/ (the “Website”). The Website is operated by casual-jobs.com, trading as Casual Jobs (“Casual Jobs”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

By accessing or using the Website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Website.

2. What Casual Jobs provides

Casual Jobs provides a search interface that displays job listings supplied by third parties, including Careerjet. Users can search and filter listings and follow external links to view more information or apply on a third-party website.

Casual Jobs:

  • is not the employer offering a listed role;
  • is not a recruitment agency or employment agency;
  • does not currently provide user accounts;
  • does not accept or transmit job applications or résumés;
  • is not a party to communications, interviews, offers or employment arrangements between a user and an employer or recruiter; and
  • does not guarantee employment, interviews, responses, pay, hours, conditions or the continued availability of a role.

3. Affiliate and commercial disclosure

Some job links are tracked links supplied by Careerjet. We may receive pay-per-click or other referral revenue when a user clicks a listing and proceeds to a third-party website.

The commercial arrangement does not increase the price paid by a job seeker. Payment for a click does not mean that we have verified, recommended, approved or endorsed the job, employer, recruiter or destination website.

Users must not generate artificial, automated, incentivised, misleading or fraudulent clicks.

4. Third-party job listings

Job titles, descriptions, locations, salaries, employer names, dates and other listing information are supplied by third parties and may be incomplete, inaccurate, duplicated, misleading, changed, withdrawn or out of date.

Listings may be imported and displayed automatically. Unless we expressly state otherwise, we do not independently verify:

  • the identity or authority of an employer or recruiter;
  • whether a vacancy exists;
  • the accuracy of salary, hours, location or employment type;
  • whether a role complies with workplace, migration, discrimination or other laws;
  • whether the destination website is secure; or
  • whether any person contacting a user is genuinely connected with the advertised organisation.

Always verify a role using the employer’s independently located official website or contact details before providing personal information or acting on an offer.

5. Applications and external websites

Selecting a job link takes you to a website operated by Careerjet, an employer, recruiter or another third party. External websites are not controlled by Casual Jobs. Their privacy policies, cookies, security, accessibility, application processes and terms apply to your use of those websites.

Casual Jobs is not responsible for third-party content, availability, security, products, services, representations, decisions or conduct. A link does not constitute endorsement.

6. Search results and ranking

Search results may be ordered or filtered using relevance, date, location, salary, availability, third-party data or technical factors. We do not promise that results are complete, neutral, suitable or presented in any particular order.

Sponsored, affiliate or tracked results should be identified where applicable. We may change the search interface, filters, ranking methods and data sources at any time.

7. Job seeker responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • checking the identity and legitimacy of employers and recruiters;
  • confirming job details, pay, award coverage, casual loading, hours, conditions and workplace location;
  • protecting passwords, identity documents and financial information;
  • reviewing the destination website’s privacy policy and terms;
  • obtaining appropriate employment, migration, tax, financial, legal or career advice where needed; and
  • reporting suspicious listings to us and relevant authorities.

Never pay money merely to secure a job, transfer money on behalf of a purported employer, receive and forward packages, purchase gift cards or cryptocurrency, or provide remote access to your device.

8. Blog and informational content

Blog articles, guides, summaries, checklists and other editorial content are general information only. They may be drafted or edited with assistance from artificial intelligence and may contain errors, omissions or outdated information.

We do not promise that every statement has been independently fact-checked. You must check primary sources and obtain qualified advice before relying on content for employment, workplace, legal, financial, migration, safety, health or other important decisions.

A disclaimer does not authorise us to publish information that is knowingly false or misleading. We may correct, update or remove content at any time.

9. Acceptable use

You must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy. In particular, you must not:

  • scrape, copy or republish job data at scale;
  • access the Website through unauthorised bots or automated tools;
  • interfere with the Website, API requests, security or analytics;
  • generate artificial clicks or impressions;
  • impersonate an employer, recruiter, job seeker or Casual Jobs;
  • submit malicious, false or abusive reports; or
  • use the Website for unlawful, fraudulent or harmful activity.

10. Intellectual property

The Website design, branding, original articles, code and original content are owned by or licensed to Casual Jobs and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Job listing content, employer names, logos, trademarks and third-party data remain the property of their respective owners or licensors. Displaying a listing does not transfer ownership to Casual Jobs or to a user.

Your permitted use of content is described in our Content and Data Licensing Terms.

11. Website availability and changes

We may modify, suspend, restrict or discontinue any part of the Website without notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, preservation of a listing, or compatibility with every browser or device.

We may block traffic, remove content or restrict access where reasonably necessary for security, compliance, provider requirements, fraud prevention or Website integrity.

12. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Website and its content are provided on an “as available” basis. We do not give warranties or representations about completeness, accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, security, job availability, employer conduct or employment outcomes.

You acknowledge that job searching and responding to third-party listings involve risks, including scams, identity theft and inaccurate information.

13. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right, remedy or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including rights that may arise under the Australian Consumer Law.

Subject to the preceding sentence and to the maximum extent permitted by law, Casual Jobs is not liable for indirect, consequential or special loss, loss of opportunity, loss of income, loss of data, identity theft, unauthorised transactions, employment decisions, workplace disputes or loss arising from:

  • a third-party listing or external website;
  • an employer, recruiter, scammer or other third party;
  • reliance on unverified or outdated information;
  • Website interruption, technical error or security incident; or
  • a user’s disclosure of information to a third party.

This clause does not exclude liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

14. Suspension and termination

We may restrict or block access where we reasonably believe a user has breached these terms, created security or legal risk, generated invalid traffic, infringed rights or interfered with the Website. Provisions intended to survive termination continue to apply, including intellectual property, disclaimers and liability provisions.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms by publishing a revised version with a new effective date. Continued use after publication constitutes acceptance of the revised terms to the extent permitted by law.
